Lamb Jr is one of two men killed in the horrific fatal crash on the George Price Highway between miles 16 and 17, Belize District, on Saturday night. His close friend Nelson Hemsley died alongside him.

According to ACP Hilberto Romero, Head of the National Crimes Investigation Branch, both Lamb Jr and Hemsley were found motionless and trapped inside a black Ford Escape and were pronounced dead on arrival at the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital.

A Ford van and a motorcycle were also involved in the collision. The driver of the van was identified as Chadwick Ysaguirre, and the motorcycle rider as David Lambey.

“He no drink, no smoke, he no go da bar, he no keep too much young friends, mostly keep father-figure friends. Humble and gave me the world,” she said.

Baide recalled the moments just before Lamb Jr left the house. She said, “Mr Hemsley was like a father figure to Glenn, a best friend, a buddy… I think that’s what caused Glenn to come out, because he no work on Saturdays. From Thursday he said he no gwen no where.”

ACP Romero said the initial police investigation indicates that a black Ford Escape SUV is believed to have struck the motorcycle before swerving into the path of the oncoming van, causing a head-on collision.

“I wish I had one more minute with him… I miss ah so bad it got me down, but I think when I lay him to rest, everything wah okay,” Baide added.

Investigators are awaiting urine sample results to determine whether alcohol was involved.
