Intensified Police Presence to Protect Festive Season
With Christmas just a week away, police are intensifying efforts to fight crime across Belize. For several weeks, communities across the country have been rocked by an increase in burglaries and violent crimes. However, according to Senior Superintendent of Police, Reymundo Reyes, police are putting more boots on the ground to ensure that every citizen can enjoy a peaceful and safe holiday season.

“What you will be seeing police officers on the go, and we’re seeing it from during the course of the early mornings. We have operations that I mentioned during the evening. We have as well as operation teams on the ground. So police officers are within every single turn of where we have business people moving around. So we have them on hand.”
