Is Your Voter Registration Up to Date?

If you have moved to a new address, the window to update your voter registration is now open, and it closes 31 August.

The Elections and Boundaries Commission has officially opened the Transfer of Electors Period, running from 1 July to 31 August 2026. Voters who have relocated and want to ensure they are registered in the correct electoral division must visit their nearest Elections and Boundaries Office before the deadline.

To apply, bring your Voter Identification Card or a valid Social Security Card, passport, or driver’s licence. You must have been residing at your new address for at least two months to qualify for a transfer.

The department says updating voter information is essential to ensure electors are assigned to the correct constituency before the 2027 municipal election. Missing this window could effectively silence your vote.
