Kenneth “Big Tom” Flowers Shot in Backatown

Former Backatown gang leader Kenneth “Big Tom” Flowers was shot in Belize City this evening. Once known for his role in the city’s gang conflicts, Flowers had in recent years turned toward peacebuilding and community outreach.

Residents reported hearing multiple gunshots before police arrived, finding Flowers wounded. He was rushed to the hospital for treatment. Investigations are ongoing, and no suspects have been named.
