Ladyville School Burglar Gets Prison Time
He broke into the same school twice in two days and now he’s headed to prison. Twenty-seven-year-old Hilberto Ramos, an unemployed Belizean with no fixed address, is serving three and a half years behind bars after pleading guilty to two counts of burglary. Back in March, Ramos was charged for breaking into Ladyville Evangelical Primary School and stealing from a Standard One classroom, not once, but twice. What did he take? A JBL Bluetooth speaker and some dishwashing liquids and detergents worth about two hundred and twenty-five dollars in total. After spending six months on remand, Ramos changed his plea to guilty on Monday. The court handed him two sentences of three and a half years each, but they’ll run at the same time.
