Liberty Children’s Home Gets Tech Boost from Fultec
This afternoon, Liberty Children’s Home got a major tech upgrade, and a financial boost to go with it. Thanks to Fultec Systems, the home now has a brand-new computer lab and a donation of two thousand two hundred and fifty dollars. It’s all part of Fultec’s anniversary outreach program, where employees choose a deserving institution to support each year. The company says this new digital learning hub will open doors for the kids and make a real difference for the staff who guide them every day.

“During the month of July it’s our anniversary month at Fultec Systems Limited. One of the things that we do is outreach, and a part of that outreach every year is that we choose a well-deserving institution, and we do that every year. So every invoice that’s generated for the month of July, Fultec matches that number of invoices with one dollar.”

With technology playing an increasingly important role in education, a notebook and pen are no longer enough. For a home caring for more than forty children, including fifteen teens entering high school, access to proper technology is essential. Fultec Systems stepped in with a two-part contribution, which includes a fully equipped computer lab, complete with desktops, a printer, UPS, and Microsoft software to support the children’s learning.

“Just to elaborate on the donation today, it’s one donation that we’ve split in two. One of them is a cheque of two thousand two hundred and fifty dollars. And the way that came about is, Fultec Systems donated one dollar for every invoice generated in the month of July. The second part, which is our Digital Learning Hub, is desktops for the children that live here. It’s a way for the staff to support their learning needs. And so if you guys notice, we have four desktops along with a printer for them to be able to use throughout the school year.”
All forty-two children at Liberty Children’s Home come with diverse needs, including disabilities and medical challenges. Director, Agatha Valentine, highlighted the impact of the donation on the children’s daily learning.

“We currently have fifteen high schoolers at this institution, so we have a big teenage population. And so we are exhilarated to be chosen for this donation because it is a need, a huge need. Before today, we were juggling two laptops with fifteen high schoolers. So they come in and they take turns to use the laptops. As of today, we’ll be able to have more equipment access. So we’re very grateful to Fultec, the staff, as well as the community that contributed in sales to Fultec for this donation.”
Beyond the donation, Fultec emphasizes the broader message of giving back.

“The message that Fultec Systems would like to send out to the community at large is, it’s not just about making money or building your business, but also giving back to the community. That’s one of the biggest things that we do here at Fultec. So throughout the year, we give donations. This is our larger donation that we do that coincides with our anniversary month.”
The home’s director is appealing to the public for continued support, emphasizing that funding for daily expenses like utilities, staff salaries, and personal items remains a critical need. This is Zenida Lanza for News Five.
