Man Claims Cockroach Told Him to Kill Two

A 25-year-old New Mexico, USA, man is facing double murder charges after allegedly telling deputies that a cockroach delivered a message instructing him to kill.

Alexis Hernandez was arrested on Friday night in southwest Albuquerque, following the deaths of two men inside a residence. According to the Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office, Hernandez admitted to fatally shooting one man and stabbing another after receiving what he described as “an encrypted message in a cockroach.”

Deputies responded to reports of gunfire around 10:30 p.m. and found Hernandez at the door with a firearm on his waistband and a Marine Corps sabre on his hip. He reportedly told officers he was in the Marines and “had to do what he had to do.”

Inside, authorities discovered one victim with gunshot wounds and another with stab wounds in an attached apartment. Two young children were also found inside the home but were not harmed.
