Man Dies After Falling on Knife in Progresso

A 23-year-old man died on Saturday, August 16, after an accidental stabbing incident at his home in Progresso Village, Cayo District.

Assistant Commissioner Hilberto Romero reported that police officers had visited San Ignacio Hospital, where the deceased was identified as Pablo Bull.

“Investigation revealed he was at home along with his common-law wife, Silvia Chanek, when he stumbled and fell, and the knife caused his injury. We are conducting a thorough investigation on this report. We are awaiting a post-mortem investigation,” Romero told reporters. “He was holding the knife, and he was about to get some meat ready to do some barbecue.”

Romero confirmed that there are no signs of foul play at this time.
