Man Shot Dead Inside Home in Orange Walk

Orange Walk police are investigating a murder that occurred early this morning on Progress Street in Orange Walk Town.

At around 12:30 a.m., officers responded to reports of gunfire and were led to a white concrete house where they found the lifeless body of 45‑year‑old Beris Neemaya Anglin. He was lying face down in a pool of blood with multiple gunshot wounds.

His body was discovered by his common‑law wife who had just returned home from work.

Investigators recovered several 9mm expended shells and slugs. Police report his body was found with a “gunshot wound on the face, left foot, right hand, abdomen (2) gunshot wound on the upper right shoulder and (3) gunshot wound on the back.”

According to neighbors, several gunshots were heard in the area around 11:00 p.m. Saturday night.
