Medical Crisis Sparks Urgent Appeal for Milagro Garel  

The family of Milagro Garel, the World Pediatrics Country Director in Belize, is seeking the public’s support for financial assistance to aid in a medical emergency. Garel suffered a massive brain aneurysm on Tuesday night while at home. Garel is currently in an induced coma. She will be transported by plane tonight to a medical facility in Guatemala where she will undergo intensive care for at least two weeks. Garel has worked with the World Pediatric Project for the past two decades. Her service has impacted the lives of countless children across Belize.
