Moist and Unstable Weather Conditions Persist Across Belize
The National Meteorological Service reports that relatively moist and unstable conditions continue to affect Belize, bringing scattered showers and thunderstorms across much of the country.
Today’s forecast calls for cloudy skies with occasional sunny breaks, while periods of rain and thunderstorms are expected to persist, especially over coastal, central, and northern regions. By evening, shower activity is expected to ease before redeveloping later tonight, mainly over southern and coastal areas.
In the tropics, a tropical wave currently located over the eastern Caribbean Sea is producing a concentrated area of showers and thunderstorms. Forecasters say environmental conditions may become more favourable for development, with a tropical depression or storm likely to form in the coming days. While the system does not pose an immediate threat to Belize, authorities are closely monitoring its progress.
Similar weather conditions are expected to continue into Tuesday and Tuesday night.
