Nah Claims Key Evidence in Triple-Murder Case Doesn’t Belong to Him

The triple-murder trial of 40-year-old Elmer Nah continued today as Justice Nigel Pilgrim rejected a no-case submission and ordered Nah to answer three counts of murder.

Nah gave a 27-minute dock statement, denying that he was the shooter and pointing to problems with the evidence.

Earlier in the trial, the court had ruled that key evidence could be used, including the witness statement of the late Vivian Ramnarace, boots allegedly found in Nah’s pickup, and a headlamp reportedly worn during the murders.

Nah said the gunman seen in the video had no tattoo on his right hand, while he has one that was done 17 years before the killings. He also disputed that the boots presented in court belonged to him, noting that his own were black and orange while the ones in evidence were all black.

He argued that enhancing the footage could help identify the real killer and said the state must ensure a fair trial based on facts, not speculation.

Nah did not call any alibi witness, relying only on his dock statement.

The case has been adjourned until March 13, 2026, when oral submissions will be made.
