National Assembly Unveils Modern Logo, Retires Coat of Arms
The National Assembly is getting a fresh new look. Belize’s legislature is saying goodbye to the traditional coat of arms as its logo and rolling out a modern design instead. Prime Minister John Briceño calls the new branding ‘classy,’ and interestingly, the Opposition is also on board with the change.

“This has gone through extensive consultations, and I must commend you and Madam President of the Senate who have taken on this initiative along with your staff and that we have come to this as something with a lot of consultation with everybody involved, including the House of Representatives and Senate. And I really can’t think of any reason to defend this motion. It is something that is good. It is very classy what you all have worked with.”

“Indeed, I think the branding or rebranding of the National Assembly is an important initiative. I hope the rebranding will also signal that the National Assembly becomes more accessible to the public as we try to have greater engagement with our citizenry.”
