National Bus Company’s First CEO Is Out
The National Bus Company has lost its first chief executive, Susana Vanzie, just three months after launching operations. No replacement has been named yet.
Vanzie was selected by the NBC board from Floralia to lead the company through its launch phase and began services on March 1st, 2026.
The company confirmed her departure as CEO in a press release today. Shortly after, NBC issued a job posting for her replacement.
Transport Minister Dr Louis Zabaneh had made clear from the start that the initial management team was temporary. Speaking just days after NBC launched operations on 1st March, he said, “There’s a three-month management team that is in a probationary period. The board selected Ms Susana Vanzie from Floralia as the CEO.”
When asked at the time whether Vanzie could stay on permanently, Zabaneh said, “If the board so deems that her performance has been up to the standard, that’s for them to decide.”
Vanzie remains connected to the company as a shareholder.
Meanwhile, NBC assured the public that operations remain unaffected. A regional managers structure is holding things together in the interim.
