Nestor Mendez Returns as Belize’s OAS Representative

Belize has a familiar face back at the OAS. Nestor Mendez officially presented his credentials as Belize’s new Permanent Representative to the Organization of American States during a ceremony in Washington, D.C. Mendez, who previously served as Assistant Secretary General for a decade, says he’s returning to the role with renewed conviction, calling the OAS an indispensable instrument for peace, dialogue, and development in the hemisphere. Secretary General Albert Ramdin welcomed him back, praising the constructive spirit Mendez brought to the organization throughout his tenure. This marks the second time Mendez will represent Belize at the OAS.
