New Vital Stats System Hits Early Snags
In early December the Vital Statistical Unit launched its Civil Registry and Vital Statistics System, an online platform meant to improve access. But, only days after the launch the transition proved to be rocky, with reports of system glitches, long lines and mounting frustration. And while most of those issues were quickly addressed, Attorney General Anthony Sylvestre also anticipated some revenue loss with the new system. On Monday, he revealed that there has been a decrease in revenue and explained why.
