One Man Detained After Alleged Sexual Assault

Police are investigating an alleged sexual assault involving a 22-year-old woman in Orange Walk. One man has been detained pending investigation.

According to police, the incident happened on Wednesday. The women told investigators that she was at her home when her male neighbour visited and asked her to prepare a cup of noodles. She reportedly allowed him inside to wait.

Police say that while inside the residence, the man sexually assaulted the woman.
