PM Delivers Passports and Nationality Certificates to Belizean-Americans Abroad

Prime Minister John Briceño and Minister of Immigration Kareem Musa personally delivered passports and nationality certificates to Belizean-Americans living abroad on Friday.

“This is an incredibly special treat to have you [Prime Minister] with us, for the diaspora Belizeans to have this experience,” Musa said.

The outreach saw approximately 230 passports and 17 nationality certificates handed directly to members of the diaspora community.

Musa revealed that the team, which arrived the night before, worked through the night to prepare the documents. “They were working until 12 last night,” he said.

He added that the demand for documentation continues to be high across the United States, with plans already underway to expand similar outreach to other cities, including Chicago.

Prime Minister Briceño also commended the effort, saying the initiative reflects the government’s commitment to staying connected with Belizeans abroad.

“All the work we do is for them,” Briceño said.
