From town events and traffic checkpoints to coordinated maritime patrols, he says this year’s strategy is all about visibility, teamwork, and prevention.
Dr. Richard Rosado, Commissioner of Police
“I want to thank the security forces, the BDF, the coast guard, the National Transport, for working with us in unison to put together a collective operational stance to ensure the safety of all Belizeans across the country during the Easter holidays.”

“Could you talk a little bit about the strategy? Where would those officers be stationed during this break?”
Dr. Richard Rosado
“Well, there are a number of activities that will be hosted across the country, across the different municipalities. And so, we have all those activities that are being policed by our police officers. We have a number of VCPs that are being done in coordination with National Transport and the traffic wardens during peak times. We also have the coast guard and the BDF assisting us in doing maritime patrols in key areas.”
If you’re traveling in the days ahead you will notice that police have rolled out nationwide checkpoints, patrols, and sea surveillance to keep the Easter weekend secure.
