Police Charge Seine Bight Barber in Double Homicide

We start tonight’s newscast in Punta Gorda, where police say they’ve cracked Saturday night’s double murder and have now made an arrest.

Investigators have charged twenty‑five‑year‑old Keron George Augustine, a barber from Seine Bight Village, for the shooting deaths of Luis Barillas and Derrick Arnold, two men who were gunned down inside Barillas’ Queen Street home while socializing. On Monday, police confirmed they had three suspects in custody, and this morning they announced that Augustine has been formally charged with two counts of murder. A motive hasn’t been released yet, but police say the investigation is active and more details will come as the case unfolds.
