Police Department Mourns Loss of PC Karen August in Hit-and-Run

On Friday, Police Constable Karen August passed away at the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital, days after being the victim of a hit-and-run on the George Price Highway. She sustained severe injuries in the incident last Sunday and succumbed to them five days later. Dijon McNab was arrested, and his charges will now be upgraded to manslaughter by negligence and causing death by careless conduct. ACP Hilberto Romero, Head of the National Crime Investigation Branch, says her passing is a great loss for the department.
