Police Destroy 86 Cannabis Plants Discovered by Drone Surveillance
Aerial surveillance has led to the discovery and destruction of dozens of cannabis plants in a remote area in the Toledo District.
According to reports, law enforcement officers conducted a reconnaissance operation using a drone assigned to the Special Branch office. The aerial scan directed the team to a corn field, where they uncovered cannabis plants hanging to dry beneath a small structure with zinc roofing.
Further inspection of the surrounding area revealed an additional site where more cannabis plants were being cultivated. Officers proceeded to the locations, where all identified plants were uprooted and destroyed by fire.
In total, eighty-six cannabis plants, ranging in height from three to seven feet, were destroyed during the operation.
