Police Find Gun, Ammo in Abandoned Independence House

Police in Independence Village made a significant find over the weekend. Around four p.m. on January tenth, officers from Intermediate Southern Formation and CIB searched an abandoned zinc bungalow in the Noralez Extension area. Inside, they discovered a gold-colored nine-millimeter Sig Sauer pistol with a magazine holding two live rounds, along with thirty-three additional rounds of ammunition. Investigators believe this weapon may have been used in recent shootings in the area. The gun and ammunition have been sealed and sent to the National Forensic Science Service for testing as police work to link it to those crimes.
