Police Find Gun Linked to Shootings in Independence
Police in Independence Village have recovered a firearm believed to be linked to recent shootings in the area.
Officers conducted a search on Saturday at an abandoned zinc bungalow in the Noralez Extension area, where they discovered a gold-coloured 9mm Sig Sauer pistol with a magazine containing two live rounds of ammunition, along with an additional 33 live 9mm rounds.
The firearm has since been sealed and submitted to the National Forensic Science Service for comparative analysis as investigations continue.
