Police Hunt Trio After Brazen Uno Gas Station Heist
Police are still on the hunt for three suspects after a brazen daylight robbery at the Uno gas station on the Philip Goldson Highway. It happened Friday afternoon at mile one and a half. According to investigators, station manager Eric Chi was preparing to make a deposit when one man held him at gunpoint. Another suspect, riding a motorcycle, grabbed a large sum of cash and sped off. Tonight, police are digging into whether this was an inside job. Assistant Commissioner Hilberto Romero has the details.

“On Friday, the thirty-first of October, 2025, police responded to a robbery report at the UNO gas station in Belize City. Upon the arrival, a complainant, Eric Chi, the manager, reported that he was going towards his vehicle to make a deposit. When he was approached by a male person who pulled out a firearm and he was held up, he was then thrown to the floor. Another male person then approached who was on a motorcycle. They both robbed him of a large quantity of cash. Thereafter, they got on a motorcycle and drove off, and we are seeking two suspects in regards to this robbery.”

“Were they waiting him out? Did they know he had money?’

“Yes. We have information that they were at a parking lot beside gas station waiting. And when this manager came out and he was attacked.”

“Is there any notion that it might have been an inside job?”
ACP Hilberto Romero
“We are looking at that, but at this time we have not gathered any evidence to charge anyone.”

“Was there any cameras?”
