Police Investigate “Incident” Near Hospital Crescent in OW
The Belize Police Department has confirmed that it is investigating an incident that occurred near Hospital Crescent in Orange Walk Town on Friday night.
According to an official statement, officers responded to the area around 9:00 p.m. and discovered an abandoned black 2010 GMC Acadia SUV bearing license plate BC-C-79747. The vehicle was impounded and taken for forensic processing.
Police say the investigation is ongoing and are appealing to the public for assistance. Residents who may have witnessed unusual activity near Hospital Crescent or around the Sandy Hunter Library are encouraged to contact the authorities. Reports can be made anonymously through 911 or Crime Stoppers at 922.
While the department confirmed it is following leads, it stressed that no official details have been released about what may have transpired. Law enforcement has acknowledged “rumors and speculation” circulating online.
There are unverified claims that controversial social media commentator Ryan Budna was kidnapped near the Orange Walk Police Station.
Police did not confirm these reports but assured the public that officers remain on the ground carrying out investigations. Authorities are asking the public to exercise patience as verified information becomes available.
