ASP Stacy Smith, Staff Officer

“Police have formally arrested and charged thirty-seven-year-old Simon Bateman of Santa Elena Town Cayo for the offense of kept ammunition without a gun license. The arrest of Bateman follows the execution of an intelligence-led operation at the residence of Bateman on Friday, seventeenth July. A search of Bateman’s residence led to the discovery of four rounds of nine-millimeter ammunition and given that he is not the holder of a gun license, he was subsequently charged for the crime of kept ammunition without being the owner of a gun license.”

Police have yet to confirm if a gun was located as well.
