Police Still Seeking Suspect in Attempted Murder

A Belize City man is tonight, still recovering after an attempt was made on his life on Thursday night. According to reports, twenty-eight-year-old Esau Louima was on the veranda of his home when an unknown male entered his yard and opened fire on his direction. Louima, who is unknown to police filed a report, however, has not been able to identify the shooter. Head of the National Crime Investigation Branch, ACP Hilberto Romero provides an update on the investigation.

“On Thursday, the eleventh day of September police. Responded to a shooting incident at Tibul Street in Belize city. Upon arrival, they saw Esau Louima with a gunshot injury. He was taken for treatment where he’s in a stable condition. Investigation is that he was at the end of his house when he male person came and fired several shots towards his direction causing his injury. We have no suspect at this time as he’s unable to identify the shooter.”
