Political Graveyard? Musa’s New Ministry Explained
Kareem Musa has been flying under the radar since losing the high-profile Home Affairs and New Growth Industries portfolio back in November. These days, he’s heading Immigration, Labour, and Governance, a ministry often dubbed a political graveyard because, frankly, the only good news from there is usually no news at all. So, when we caught up with Musa at a recent public event for his new ministry on Tuesday, we had to ask: does he miss the Ministry of Police?
Kareem Musa, Minister, Immigration, Labor and Governance
“I miss the police ministry. Samira is right here, but I certainly – I’m enjoying my time here at immigration as well. I am absolutely impressed by the level of professionalism here at immigration, labor and governance. I’m continuing my tour. There are a lot of other departments and offices that I need to visit, but it’s been a very welcoming experience and I look forward to continuing to serve.”
