Pre-Dawn Raid in Dangriga Nets Guns, Weed, and Cocaine
A pre-dawn raid in Dangriga has uncovered a stash of drugs and weapons. Police say the joint operation on Magoon Street turned up a nine-millimeter pistol, forty-five rounds of ammunition, nearly half a kilo of cannabis, plus crack cocaine and a hefty seven-hundred-and-eighty-seven grams of cocaine, all hidden in different spots around the house. The man at the center of it all, fifty-six-year-old Charles Peebles, is now facing multiple charges, including possession of controlled drugs with intent to supply and keeping a firearm without a license.

“On Wednesday, October, at around four a.m., Dangriga police conducted a joint operation at a residence located on Magoon Street in Dangriga Town. This operation led to the discovery of a nine millimeter pistol, forty-five rounds of nine millimeter ammunition, a total of four hundred and sixty-two grams of cannabis, a total of forty-one grams of suspected crack cocaine, and seven hundred and eighty-seven grams of cocaine. These items were found in different places in the residence. As a consequence of this, Charles Peebles, a fifty-six-year-old of Magoon Street, has been formally arrested and charged for the offenses of kept firearm without a gun license, kept ammunition without a gun license, and several counts of possession of controlled drugs with intent to supply.”
