Punta Gorda Man Found Shot Dead; Police Hunt for Killer
Punta Gorda is still reeling after a tragic discovery early Friday morning. Twenty-nine-year-old Aymon Flores, a laborer from the area, was found dead, shot in the chest and back. Police say the investigation is in its early stages, and so far, no suspects have been identified. Head of the National Crime Investigation Branch, ACP Hilberto Romero, says they’re working every angle to find out who’s responsible.

“On Friday, the twelfth day of September, 2025 police responded to the discover of a body on the VOA Road in Punta Goda. Upon the arrival, they saw the lifeless body of a male person identified as Aymond Floris. He had gunshot injuries. Information is that Floris was seen in the town earlier that night, and thereafter, his body was discovered in the road. An investigation has been carried out. We have no suspects at this time.”
