Riders Pedal with Purpose to Support Catholic Schools in Belize
As the 2025 Lighthouse Ride crosses into its second month, the team of dedicated cyclists continues their inspiring cross-country journey, fueled by prayer, pedals, and a powerful mission.
Inspired by the Catholic Church’s Jubilee Year theme, “Pilgrims of Hope,” the riders have embarked on a 3,550-mile trek from Maine toward the West Coast. Their goal is to generate much-needed financial support for Catholic schools in Belize, providing education, hope, and opportunity to children in need.
Riders have already overcome grueling climbs through regions such as the Adirondack Mountains and the White Mountain National Forest, stopping in communities like Benton, New Hampshire, and Buffalo, New York. Along the way, they’ve built camaraderie, shared quiet moments of reflection, and drawn strength from the support of benefactors and friends.
Father Matt, one of the team’s spiritual leaders, rides in honor of all Belizean children.
The team invites supporters and well-wishers to keep them in their prayers as they tackle tomorrow’s uphill grind and every mile beyond. Donations made through their website directly fund projects to build and improve Catholic school facilities in Belize.
