Roadside Shooting Injures Javan Clare
Police are investigating a brazen roadside shooting that left thirty-one‑year‑old Belize City resident Javan Clare injured on Wednesday night. According to authorities, Clare was driving toward Belize City when his vehicle came under fire near mile thirty-two on the George Price Highway, forcing his Chevy Equinox off the road where officers later found it riddled with bullet holes. Police say the gunman, believed to be an unidentified male in another vehicle, fled the scene.

“Police are investigating a shooting incident which resulted in the injury of thirty-one-year-old Javan Clare of Belize City. The investigation commenced on Wednesday March twenty-sixth at about eight o’clock p.m. when police responded to shot being fired in the vicinity of mile thirty-three along the George Price Highway. Police responded to that report where they observed a Chevy Equinox which was some two hundred yards off the highway and it exhibited apparent bullet holes. what has been gathered so far is that Clare was driving form Belmopan towards Belize City where upon reaching mile thirty-two the vehicle he was driving was fired upon by an unknown male person who was in another vehicle. Police investigation into this matter continues.”
