Roaring Creek Resident Busted with Drugs on Caye Caulker
A pre-dawn police search on Caye Caulker has landed a Roaring Creek man in serious legal trouble. Police say they executed a search warrant at the residence of Joseph Lopez shortly after six on Friday morning and allegedly found cannabis, cocaine, and crack cocaine inside. Lopez now faces multiple drug trafficking charges as investigators continue to build their case. Assistant Superintendent Stacy Smith explains what officers uncovered during the operation.

“Caye Caulker Police have formally arrested and charged forty-five-year-old Joseph Lopez of Roaring Creek Village for three counts of drug trafficking following an operation at a property in that village, being Caye Caulker, which led to discovery, sorry, of eighty-seven-point-eight grams of cannabis, two-point-nine-eight grams of cocaine and one-point-nine-five grams of crack cocaine. The arresting officer reported that he executed a search warrant at the residence of Lopez at around six o clock a.m. on Friday, third of July, which led to the discovery of the reported drugs.”
