RTA on Phillip Goldson Claims Life of Woman

A tragic accident on the Phillip Goldson Highway has left a family and an entire village in mourning. Just after 9:30 on Wednesday morning, police responded to a serious crash between mile sixty and sixty-one. When they arrived, they found thirty-four-year-old Sergio Cantun trapped behind the wheel of a Nissan Frontier, and nearby, a Mahindra pickup, badly mangled, with nineteen-year-old Alva Magana also pinned inside. But the most heartbreaking discovery was the loss of forty-four-year-old Olga Chi, a resident of San Luis Village, who tragically died in the collision. According to investigators, Chi was driving the Mahindra with Magana as her passenger when she reportedly lost control and slammed into the Nissan Frontier. Inside that vehicle was Cantun, along with his wife and two children, all of whom suffered varying degrees of injury. Police are still piecing together exactly what led to the crash, and the investigation remains ongoing.
