San Pedro Police Uncover Major Mangrove Drug Stash
This morning, around 8:30, police and intelligence teams carried out a joint operation just north of San Pedro Town. Their search took them into a mangrove area along the seaside, an area that has become a frequent hideaway for contraband. There, officers made a major discovery. Tucked away in the mangroves was a large black crocus bag. Inside, police found twenty‑nine tightly wrapped, rectangular bricks, each one packed with cannabis. All told, the stash weighed in at seventeen-point-four kilograms, or just over thirty‑eight pounds. Investigators labeled and sealed the drugs on-site, then deposited them as found property as the investigation moves forward. Authorities have not yet indicated who may be responsible, but the discovery is being treated as a significant drug interception for the area.
