Sandhill Fisherman Pleads Not Guilty to Five Attempted Murders
Stanley Moris Flowers is now facing five attempted murder charges after prosecutors significantly expanded the case against the Sandhill fisherman. Flowers appeared in the High Court late Wednesday and pleaded not guilty to allegations that he tried to kill five police officers during a shooting incident outside of Fire Nightclub, Ladyville in March 2025. The thirty-seven-year-old was initially charged with attempting to murder Corporal Manuel Chub, who was reportedly shot and hospitalized. Flowers also faced several other charges, including aggravated assault, dangerous harm, firearm offences and damage to two police vehicles valued at more than twenty-four thousand dollars. Flowers spent almost a year on remand before Justice Antoinette Moore granted him bail in March 2026. Attorney Leeroy Banner will represent him when the judge-only trial proceeds before Justice Nigel Pilgrim.
