Here’s a feel-good story out of Orange Walk tonight. A regular Scratch & Win purchase on Sunday turned into an unforgettable payday for one lucky resident. After exchanging three old tickets for three new ones, she scratched the first two and came up empty, but the final ticket changed everything. Now, she says the excitement is still fresh and the reality of her unexpected win still hasn’t fully sunk in.

“Well, I actually bought it yesterday, which was Sunday. Well, I didn’t actually purchase it. I had three that I needed to change for three dollars each, so I told the Chinese that I want three back. Three three dollars tickets, and to mix it up. I scratched one at the counter and didn’t get anything, so I took the other two home. So, when I scratched the other one I got only three dollars back. Then, this was the last ticket I scratched. When I scratched this one I looked at it two times asking myself if it is true or not. So, I went and asked someone else to check it and confirm it, and they told me yes. Every time I go out, and I would pass by the Chinese store I will usually buy one or two three dollars ticket.”
