Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs Sentenced to Over 4 Years

Hip-hop mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs has been sentenced to 50 months in federal prison after being convicted of transporting women for prostitution.

Judge Arun Subramanian delivered the sentence Friday in Manhattan, also imposing a $500,000 fine and five years of supervised release. Prosecutors had sought more than 11 years, while the defence asked for 14 months.

Combs, 55, apologised in court to his former girlfriend Cassie Ventura, another victim known as “Jane”, and his family, calling his actions “disgusting, shameful and sick”.

Subramanian said a strong sentence was needed to hold Combs accountable, telling the survivors, “We heard you.”
