Second Man Charged as Police Close In on Jamir Cambranes’ Killers
Police have charged twenty-one year old Kameron Kareem Heusner as the second suspect in the murder of Jamir Cambranes, a Belize City technician. Heusner appeared in the Lower Court this morning, where he was read a single charge of murder. Police say Heusner was the driver of the silver Chevy Equinox seen on surveillance video picking up Cambranes shortly before his death on April twenty-second, along the Burrell Boom/Hattieville Road. Disturbing footage shows Cambranes getting into the vehicle. Another suspect, Kenrick Lindbergh Robinson, is seen entering the back seat before the car drives off. Investigators say Cambranes later sent WhatsApp messages to his girlfriend, then went silent. Unable to reach him, she tracked his phone and led police to where he was found shot multiple times and left in bushes along the roadway. Surveillance video also reportedly shows Robinson returning after the killing and taking Cambranes’ bicycle before leaving the area. Robinson was first charged with murder on April twenty-seventh. Both men are expected to return to court together on June twenty-second, 2026, as police continue their investigation into the killing.
