Second Robbery Attempt at Mo’s Ends in Gunshot and Arrest
Another bold robbery attempt in Corozal and another dramatic takedown. For the second time in less than a month, Mo’s Supermarket in Corozal Town has been targeted by armed thieves. The first suspect was beaten back by employees and shoppers in October. Then, on Sunday night, a twenty-year-old gunman stormed in around 7:30 p.m., demanding cash. But once again, the staff fought back. The suspect fled, only to be caught by police nearby, and during the arrest, he was shot in the knee. Assistant Superintendent Stacy Smith shares what investigators have uncovered so far.
