“Shyne” Barrow Returns to US, His “Second Home”
After a decisive vote by the Mesopotamia constituency on March 12, Moses “Shyne” Barrow lost his seat in the National Assembly and his title as Leader of the Opposition, which meant he had to turn in his diplomatic passport.
That’s because members of the National Assembly automatically receive a “C3 Type diplomatic visa.” This visa refers to a United States visa classification for diplomats, public officials, and their immediate family members traveling on official duties.
Even though his diplomatic visa and passport would not have expired until August 2026, the government yanked his diplomatic passport and visa.
Barrow applied for the O-1A visa for “individuals with Extra Ordinary Ability in the Arts and Sciences.”
Nearly six months later Barrow has returned to US soil to visit what he calls his “second home, New York City.”
He added that a “special announcement” is brewing for the 25th anniversary of his debut album, “Shyne.”
