Single Mother Calls Out Male Mechanics for ‘Taking Advantage’

A single mother has accused some mechanics of taking advantage of women by overcharging for vehicle repairs and delaying simple work.

Her post on Facebook speaks about fairness, transparency, and consumer protection within the auto repair industry when it comes to women.

“Most of us women don’t know about cars,” the mother said in an online statement. “And we are single mothers. But yet those mechanics take advantage of us. Why?”

“You take our cars for days and you know it’s a simple thing to be fixed… then you give us a price that only God can supply,” she added.

The woman called for accountability and empathy, stating, “Think about your mother and if they were doing that to her how would you feel.”

She also supported the idea of women-led auto repair services. According to her, taking vehicles to women mechanics would mean getting “good care for us.”
