Belize City will soon have a new direct link to South Florida. Spirit Airlines announced today that it will launch the only nonstop service between Philip S.W. Goldson International Airport (BZE) and Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL) starting November 21, 2025.
The low-cost carrier will operate three flights per week, on Mondays, Fridays, and Saturdays, using its signature yellow aircraft. Introductory fares start at $85 one way from Fort Lauderdale to Belize City and $180 one way for the return trip, available for booking through August 11.
“With its world-class water excursions and beautiful landscapes, Belize is an incredible addition to our international service and growing Fort Lauderdale route map,” said John Kirby, Spirit’s Vice President of Network Planning. He added that the airline looks forward to giving Belize travelers an “elevated travel experience” to the United States, while offering South Florida passengers a new Caribbean destination.
“We are excited to welcome Spirit Airlines’ new nonstop service from Fort Lauderdale to Belize,” said Hon. Anthony Mahler, Minister of Tourism, Youth, Sports and Diaspora Relations for Belize. “This new route enhances our connectivity and offers more convenient travel options for both visitors and our diaspora. From our breathtaking natural beauty to our rich cultural experiences, there’s so much waiting to be discovered in Belize. Strengthening this link with Fort Lauderdale not only boosts travel to our shores but also deepens tourism ties between our destinations and paves the way for shared economic opportunities.”
