Students and teachers of St John Vianney RC School came together this month to support the Belize Cancer Society (BCS), donating $125 raised through their “Pinktober Casual Day” event. The initiative was led by breast cancer survivor and advocate Zoila Audinett, with the full support of the school’s principal, parents, and staff.

Audinett, who was named one of the Belize Cancer Society’s Breast Cancer Awareness Champions in 2016, personally delivered the donation to BCS President Kim Simplis Barrow, who thanked the school community for their compassion and generosity.

“Zoila’s journey and her leadership in inspiring her students and colleagues are a beautiful testament to resilience and hope,” Barrow said.

The Belize Cancer Society extended its appreciation to the school for helping spread awareness about early detection and support for those battling the disease.
