Supa G Honoured as 2026 Living Legend
Belizean artist Supa G has been honoured as the 2026 Living Legend, with artists coming together to celebrate his music and career at the Living Legends Concert in Belize City.
Minister of Culture Francis Fonseca spoke about Supa G’s more than three decades in music and the reach of his work beyond Belize.
“Supa G has been making wonderful music for more than three decades now. Just a few months ago he celebrated his 50th birthday, so the man has been making music most of his life, and it’s amazing music that all of us in Belize love,” Fonseca said.
Fonseca also pointed to Supa G’s regional and international following, saying he has fans across Central America, Mexico, the Caribbean and North America.
Following the concert, Supa G reflected on the night and thanked the people who came out to celebrate with him, even as rain fell during the concert.
“Last night touched my heart in ways I can’t fully put into words,” he wrote in a Facebook post.
He also thanked the artists who performed his songs as part of the tribute, saying he would never forget hearing his music through their voices. “Belize, I felt your love. Thank you for honoring me. Thank you for celebrating with me,” Supa G wrote.
