Teen Busted with Loaded 9mm in Lord’s Bank
A routine patrol in Lord’s Bank Village led to the arrest of a 19-year-old found with a loaded firearm on Tuesday evening.
Police said that Giovannie Gillet was detained just before 6 o’clock on Manta Ray Boulevard after officers on a joint GI-3 and QRT patrol stopped two men riding separate bicycles.
“The officers intercepted these two individuals, and because they aroused suspicion, a search was conducted on both of them,” Assistant Superintendent of Police Stacy Smith said on Monday’s press briefing.
That search led to the discovery of a nine-millimetre Smith and Wesson pistol with a magazine containing nine live rounds on Gillet.
Gillet was formally charged for the offences of keeping a firearm without a licence and keeping ammunition without a licence.
