Two Charged For Drugs and Firearms in Hattieville

Police have formally arrested and jointly charged 21‑year‑old Tajah Robateau and 25‑year‑old Kevan Joshua Franklyn, both of Hattieville Village, following a search that uncovered drugs and firearms.

Assistant Superintendent of Police Stacy Smith said the charges stem from a search conducted on April 1 at a residence in the village. “These charges follow police’s execution of a search warrant… which led to the discovery of seven parcels of suspected cannabis weighing a total of 739 grams [1.6 pounds],” she said.

Also seized was a Glock nine‑millimetre pistol loaded with a 13‑round magazine, along with two extended magazines containing 13 and 17 live rounds of nine‑millimetre ammunition.

Smith added that the way the drugs were packaged suggests they were intended for distribution.
