Two Suspects Wanted for Robbing UNO Gas Station

Police are looking for two suspects involved in an armed robbery at the UNO gas station at mile 1.5 on the Philip Goldson Highway in Belize City on Friday.

The station manager, Eric Chi, was preparing to make a deposit when one man held him at gunpoint and forced him to the ground. Another man on a motorcycle helped steal a large sum of cash before fleeing.

Reports are that up to $50,000 was taken; however, ACP Hilberto Romero, Head of the National Crime Investigation Branch, did not confirm the figure.

“We have information that they were at a parking lot beside the gas station waiting. And when this manager came out, he was attacked,” Romero said.

Romero stated that police are reviewing surveillance footage.
