Two Years Later, Convicted Killer Hildebrandt Codd Still at Large

Two years after escaping lawful custody, convicted murderer Hildebrandt Codd remains on the run following his guilty verdict for the killing of Densmore Bowman.

The verdict was delivered in Codd’s absence after he escaped from Courtroom Number Three at the High Court on December 5, 2023, just before the ruling was handed down.

Bowman was 34 years old and a resident of Belmopan when he was reported missing in November 2020. His decomposing body was discovered nearly three weeks later on December 16 along the George Price Highway. He had been hacked to death and buried in a shallow grave.

Bowman’s family continues to offer a $5,000 reward for information leading to Codd’s arrest two years after his escape.
